Ad-Duhaa

Wad-duha

By the Glorious Morning Light,

Wal-layli eeza saja

And by the Night when it is still,-

ma waddaka Rabbuka vama Qala

Thy Guardian-Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased.

Wa-la-l-akhiratu khayr laka mina Al-oola

And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present.

velasof yoo'tikee Rabbuka Fatarza

And soon will thy Guardian-Lord give thee (that wherewith) thou shalt be well-pleased.

Alam yajidka yateem Fuh-ah-wah

Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)?

vovajedka dhaal fahadiya

And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance.

vovajedka aail Fa'gnia

And He found thee in need, and made thee independent.

fa-amma al-yateema fala taqhar

Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness,

wa amma As-sail fala Tanhar

Nor repulse the petitioner (unheard);

wa amma biniaamati Rab-bik feh-dith

But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim!
